-MY FAVORITE MOVIES-
Angel's Egg - 1985
It is one of the strangest movies i ever watched. Theres is barely any dialouge between the two characters in the movie, the story is very vaguley presented with symbolism & references to the christian bible, dreams, and the idea of hope and faith.
But by far what really draw me to this movie is the increadible artstyle and the music.
Btw the first time i ever heard about this movie was a few years ago from a video i saw about the videogame "Hollow Knight" mentioning the artist behind the game (Ari Gibson) was inspired by this movie.
Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure - 1977
A Sweet, cutsey and at times surreal movie about the rag doll siblings Ann and Andy, and their friend The Cammel with the Wrinkled Knees on a quest to save Babette; a doll from France who got kidnapped by pirates (and the story just gets crazier from there).
As bizzare as it's sounds it is a very wholesome movie with many wonderful songs. All the characters are charming in their own way, and the animation is very beautifuly hand-drawn; some scenes have so much detail in every frame it's insnae.
A Funfact - The director behind this movie (Richard Williams) was also the co-writer and director behind the infamous movie "The Theif and the Cobbler".
Moomin (The Anime Series) - 1990
This is one of the first cartoons i watched as a kid thanks to my mother introducing me to it, and in my country this is a pretty well known classic cartoon.
Based on the books and comics by the illustrator and writer Tove Jansson & her brother Lars Janson. The cartoon is made out of only two seasons and all the episodes continue the same narrative and character development; while many of the stories and lessons in the show are about the beauty in nature even when it's unfamiliar, to accept people who are different, and learn to appriciate the smallest of things in life.
It is such a slow & calm show, whenever i watch it i can't help but feel so relaxed. There was also the movie "Comet In Moominland" i used to watch.
Down here is a list of movies and shows i wanna watch -
Belladonna Of Sadness - 1973
My Neighbor Totoro - 1988
Over The Garden Wall - 2014
